Heart of Silver

He makes a promise
Starts with a smile
A promise of good
He'll do in a while

He'll help with that
Make you this
'I'll do it later'
He says with a kiss

He'll follow his dreams
But not quite now
He'll find a way
Unsure how

Well how did it go?
You might ask him
A bit of no show
It's still just a whim

In the end
His intentions ran cold
Because his heart was silver

Not quite gold.
