Time Heals

Sometimes our body breaks
Together as one we lift each other up
When the ice cracks
Underneath our silent steps
You catch me when I start to slip

When the body breaks
They say time will heal the pain
True, this is just so true
The bumps and bruises go away.

Sometimes our emotions break
Together as one we fall into each other's arms
When the tears fall
Underneath the stormy clouds of doubt
You catch me when my feelings take control

When the emotions break
They say time will heal the pain
Only but sometimes, the time has nothing
Just regrets and swollowed pride

Sometimes our mind breaks
Together as one we crash into the heat
When the insanity appears
Underneath that cool mask of collected thoughts
You catch me when I dare to slip away

When the mind breaks
They say time will heal the pain
Only minds do their dance, of passion
Of sorrow and of caged fear
Time doesn't heal the things
Not yet forgotten.

You catch me then, when I slip,
Into a past of no escape
When I say things my emotions
Ran away with

You forgive me, when I feel I don't deserve
You hold me, when I feel that all is lost
You kiss me, on days when I have given all the strength I got
You love me, on days when I know you shouldn't

Souls meet in a time of passion
When all things are new and fresh
Its when time heals the pain
That the scars are all that's left

Soulmates heal those scars,
With time, those too, fade away.

I've been thinking about this too, and if you have such a safety net in person you are well graced. Thanks.

Time heals when you no longer dream the dream. Time heals when the music is forgotten. Time heals when the house no longer exists; the one you don't have to pass but you do.

Thank you for the read, Rachael, your ironic poem is so very moving.

A very vast list of ironies you set here. The mood is both of pain and redemption. I like it. Thanks for the good read

I really like the flow of this, the way you word things we (or perhaps I) take for granted, you have expressed with visually haunting words as though you do hold the answers to how to mend what's broken. Beautiful.
