halloween isn't always fun

no greater thrill
a heart stopping chill
running down your spine
a ghostly breeze
beyond the trees
is where they hold the shrine

the spirits flame
they call your name
you defy their every word
you silly child
your mind's gone wild
your lost, you can't be heard

the moon is bright
your filled with fright
it seems there's no way out
they see you run
to them, its fun
to haunt you as they flout

your getting tired
your soul's desired
they possess you to give in
you start to fall
you try and crawl
as they scrape away your skin

you clench the grass
as nails of glass
frantically proceed
to cut away
create dismay
just to hear you plead

your going blind
you lose your mind
you scream with all your might
they grasp your throat
begin to gloat
and praise this wicked night
