I have kissed
the face of God.
Travelled to the poverty of Limerick.
My soul has been washed clean
by the tears of refugees.

I have shared
a cell with Mandela.
Smelt death
and given birth.
Stared into the hateful eyes
of a Nazi dictator.

I have tasted
the bitterness of Apartheid.
Witnessed a man walk on water.
Built empires,
destroyed countries,
and redefined religion.

I have read.

This is absolutely beautiful.

I twinged when I got to "Nazi dictator" because I usually go by the golden rule of referencing Nazis being the kiss of death in writing. But I think it does work at the end.

That last statement is such a strong one.

Good job.
