werewolf

momentary weakness, ravenous urgency
flesh, thanatos
the moon was beautiful each time, sullen and pale
my dominatrix
and i never regretted, i never regretted
bloodthirst, sensuous
a cyclic phenotype
in my mouth the taste of man
and in my chest the feel of helplessness
i have fed when others have starved
i have satiated this well of
violent intimacy
gorged on putrid flesh, forgetfulness
forgetfulness
i arise an angel with the new moon,
lips parched by the dryness of wake
pure in intent

Well done. Unique imagery and well chose words. I think you captured well the "beast" that resides within all of us, hungry for flesh (metaphorically, of course). Intimacy with passion (hunger) begets powerful words. Beautiful.

"...I have satiated this well of

I think that perhaps this may very well be my favorite line in your poem. I am uncertain on why, because I read the poem over, and over to let it roll around inside of my head. The poem itself is very much about what it is titled, it seems...

Mostly, I enjoyed it because it made me feel so strongly empowered.

'I arise an angel with the new moon'

I love that line. Incredible imagery and powerful. It's eerie and beautiful all at the same time. ~Jezzy

i used "putrid" today to describe fish. putrid flesh is bogglin :) i likey how "i have fed when others have starved" is followed by a repetitive follow up that is more elaborate and filled with a confident air if you know what i mean. it's like you would pause after the first line just to catch your breath for the next. i felt that. i might end it a little differently though. keep that sentence a goin

and way to go!!
