Relationship

Relationship

The leaves were green
when we began
The light in my heart
was shining brightly
Wild nights should be our luxury

Searching for the sun
Let us keep fast hold of hands
to keep from being afraid

It is easier to look back at pain
than to see it coming
Away I pack my gown of white
in this old dusty drawer

Nature must be too young to feel
or just too old to care
As my heart is tossed away
like a snowflake in the freezing wind
