Arioso
You are to me
a cross between
prayer and passion,
a being of pure balance.
You fill my ear
with notes that
rival those of the
best wines, and
the sighs of your fluid
rhythm entrance
me to utter
submission...
I am as one
hypnotized
when you capture
my senses,
and I do your will,
gladly,
surrendering my all.
You belong to
the lofts of cathedrals,
and yet, you are
as earthy as
their secrets.
There is life
and death in you,
but I am willing
to play you,
to let my fingers
glide across your bars
and measures,
to rise with
your every crescendo
and draw out
each pianissimo
so that it will
linger
in the consciousness...
In my moments
of silence,
I shall savor
the echoes
of your sighs
and play you
again, and again,
in my mind.

very romantic writing, actually my kind. Not a cliche to be found. The imagery is amazing, and I also think the contrast
of these lines is gorgeous -
You belong to
the lofts of cathedrals (amazing)
and yet, you are
as earthy as their secrets
Too beautiful! |

Balanced poem with love, fantasy and sensuality.
Liked the ending...
I shall savor
the echoes
of your sighs
and play you
again, and again,
in my mind.... nice. |

Hahahaha! I know who inspired this! *prances around in glee
My fave lines:
"You belong to
the lofts of cathedrals,
and yet, you are
as earthy as
their secrets."
What a fluid poem, Tina. This is good! ;-)
