Rescuers

Don't look to me
to save or fix you
cripples are made
by rescuers

When we are born
and choose to live
we're in communion
with our fate

Life is not hard
when the simple intricacy
of its course
is understood

Love is not
to help you trade
your legs
for a wheelchair

Not like fish
on a hook struggle
but all of life's turns
gallantly embrace

"cripples are made by rescuers"
How true.

Perhaps lowercase here.. the caps makes it seem like screaming, which is okay, but it seems to detract from the message instead of add to it.
