God Loves

Why there is injustice if God is the spring of happiness
not he flame of sorrow.
Can we pray without expecting fixes yet celebrate
Him/Her for our joys for if God loves us,
why does life end in death?

Does God love children raped by avarice
and left like broken toys to squalor?
The affluent wrapped in luxuries
like lizards sticking out their tongues in greed
to feed trivialities?

Can it be that God gives His/Her daily bread,
only at pews of conditional love?
Where the starved must bow to candles not flames,
and bigotry is preached in His/Her name,
at coffers of salvation carved by profits
from the sacrificed Lamb?

Can His/Her names be used to advance genocide
by those who feed hand-me down redemption at altars
of resignation and embrace sinners with arms
that sell salvation, and preach fear at heaven's gate.

Are God's messengers who covet indifference
and political savvy, with holier than thou attitudes
that damn others and rob their peace of mind
with intolerance and pride?

Are life's mysteries to be embraced
along with what we can't accept and rejoice in what we can?
Imagine there is no God: do we still have to live right?
Do roses have thorns?
Are crosses in church holy and in prison evil?

"And with holier than thou", not though.
A lot of good questions. Maybe the answers, or at least your point of view, could be another piece?

I do get a lot of feedback and I'm so thankful for each one. It really helps to smooth out a piece. Other writers see things that I overlook.

Thank you. I see you have "Tina section1 Revised X2" for review and feedback. Have you had good feedback on your work?
