It's A New Morn
Through the dark clouds
sun is peeping.
Hope dressed in shrouds
has been sleeping.
Now is waking
to the bird song,
and is shaking
off the night long
grief stricken guilt,
with which I marched.
Dreams can be built
the rainbow's arched.
Hope is reborn,
It's a new morn.
The sea of tears
has receded.
The cloak of fears
no more needed.
Velvet petals
Of the flowers
Calm now settles
and empowers.
My spirits lift,
I feel alive,
not set adrift,
onward I'll strive.
Hope is reborn,
It's a new morn.
