Drippin

Too much tea and coffee,
or maybe just caffeine.
That constantly keeps me going.
The drive, the knowledge, the useless fate
of a palm reader
who's to know where I go,
not wanting to be aware
of the insane banter of my life.
Go away and leave your scars with me.
I will carry you free,
among all the nonsense that makes our soul.
Upon all the great mountains of the unknown.
Leave me behind in the shadow of greatness,
For that one bleak light you have gleaming,
will last only so long.
Majestically clinging to your guilt free
caffeine drip.

"For that one bleak light you have gleaming,
will last only so long." It's a hoot that you are talking about your coffee pot when this could mean so much more.

TOO MUCH, girl! Deep but not distant, you captivate in the last line, Majestically clinging to your guilt free caffeine drip. So, guess I'll cling - on, too.

i think i've drank coffee once in my entire life.
and i've NEVER smoked a cigarette.
and i've NEVER eaten a Whopper.
but i have smoked acres of weed.
and i do drink gallons of tea.

Oh, i know this pump of caffeine... The car wreck, head-on, with too much, driving me utterly stressed out & unable to hold on to anything resembling patience...

Halloween candy has done a similar swerve, where the brakes don't grab & the world spins out-of-control like on black ice.

But we like our inducements... The kick start. A whole soceity leaning towards that first cup in the morning...

We can't imagine no caffeine shooting through our blood streams...

Thanks,
jimmy
