It's A Love/Hate Relationship

Mother Nature revealed her warm bosom today
Giving us a little peep show teaser in mid-March
Her sun shown brightly at a lovely 73 degrees
Was enough to remind me that drinking ice-cold beer
In this Ohio valley is much better in the temperate months

Then on my drive home I noticed her darker side
Lurking in the shadows of parking lots and thoroughfare gutters
In the form of dirty black ugly snow left over from one of
Her previous wraths just a few weeks ago, and I thought to myself,
'Can't fool me woman, I know your games of malevolent temptation'¦'

Then I had another thought, and I sat down, cracked open that beer
And typed the first poem
That I have written in several months
Before the words escaped me
Once again

Mother Nature is indeed a moody bitch that can not be trusted. It hit 80 in Nebraska, a week after the worst blizzard in ten years. Go figure.

They say in Louisiana if you don't like the weather wait five minutes. This sums up the moodiness of mother nature very well!!

I feel your pain. During hurricane season, I know at least once I am going to be without power.
Still, every year I am never prepared. YOu would think I would have learned by now...of course not.

Enjoyed**

Glad mother nature brought you back Jay! Really miss your writing. I think the beer did it, hehe.

That's exactly how I think of her, mother nature and her games of malevolent temptation. Great write! Welcome back, let me open my bottle of Merlot, cheers!
