Trains ©

Trains, trains chugging along
running on tracks to the chugging song.
Stopping at stations along the line,
People getting on and off and making good time.

People sitting on the train
drinking cups of tea,
working on their laptops,
or writing like me.

Some are reading magazines,
others reading books.
Children trying to keep amused
and mothers shouting "woops"!

Some may be sleeping,
others rest their eyes,
but with a long journey
it is no surprise.

The train it keeps on chugging
until it gets us there,
to the places we are going,
be it here or be it there.

We get to where we want to,
so thankful for the train.
Although it keeps on chugging,
it gets there just the same.

good rhythm and creative subject. I like the rhyming. Very descriptive, and I could actually picture myself on that train with all of those people around me, and me having to erase my works over and over again because of the bumps!

heh, brilliant rhythm through this piece, I even found myself signing along with it! It seems so effortlessly done, too, which is it's magic, I think. Nice one!

For the many of us who take trains here and there, it's a great way to describe the daily commute. Has a light-hearted, fun rhyme to it (as Ellamargosmom said, a nice song).
