Watery Grave

Oceanic emotions drown screaming fear
As lonely legs dangle off a forsaken pier,
Serrated apprehension slices this mind
'Midst hidden realms nobody may find.

While he forever nurses an abducted core
An onslaught of anguish slams like a door
On trampled old visions of a life left behind
In a time of a love so sweet and sublime.

Water calmly rages below in a moonlit dance
So profoundly oblivious to his aching glance,
Deathly thoughts float atop a solitary wave
As a shadow beckons from her watery grave.
