I watched
As you walked from the doorway

I watched as the winds blew a chill through the night
And cut through my soul like a knife.
I watched
At my dreams being shattered
I watched
As the night stole my heart,
I watched as all memories were scattered like leaves
For I never thought we'd ever part.

Come back to these arms that once held you
Come back to these arms, once true,
Come back to this heart that held you within
Come back to this man you once knew.

I looked
At the fool in the mirror
I saw
The mistakes I had made,
I pray you'll remember the good times
Let all the harsh words gently fade.
I watched
As your shadow departed
I watched
As the rain drowned my tears,
I watched as my heartache cried out in vain
And the wind it now echoed my fears.

Come back to these arms that once held you
Come back to these arms, once true,
Come back to this heart that held you within
Come back to this man you once knew.
Forever we'll walk in the moonlight
Forever I'll love only you,
Forever I'll kiss; the tears from your cheeks
Forever my love, I'll be true.
