untitled 2
i saw a vision before my eyes
it was bright and
it gleamed like my
moon in the night-
my kryptonite-
but it was not mine.
taking it would have been a crime
so i
breathed it in
and felt its smoothness every curve
every pulse
like water passing through my
parched lips
to nourish
to fulfill
to pour into my cup until
it runs over and
overcomes me so that it i
become its crystalline essence itself.
only then do i leave,
only then do i walk away,
never to look back-
never again-
until i see that gleam again,
that brightness again,
that vision.
but it is not mine....
it is never mine....
