Memories

Memories marked in the sand, washed away by the waves from the storm.
Wind blowing voices and sayings embedded into the mind.
Warm blood flowing through cold veins, once Temped, now chilled.
Words written, words spoken, words unsaid but shown.
Leaves fall to the ground, causing the path to become brittle.

Light overcoming the dark, leading the way.
Stumbling in the dusk, looking for the light.
Strange how a light seemed to turn on then flicker.
Letting go, free falling, laughter.
Cause to stay afloat.
Treading the murky waters of life, legs and arms going numb.
Causing new motivation to not sink.
To not hit the bottom once again.
Already knowing what the underbelly holds.

Taking deep breaths, inhaling serenity, strength, will.
The waters are clearing, not getting as hard to tread anymore.
Cool water, calming the mind, the nerves, the soul.
And most important.

Cleansing.
