Fairy

I told you I'm a fairy.
Why are you surprised I'm gone.
Wipe that look you have off of your face.
Don't act like I'm such a disgrace.
You should have seen that I was freezing.

Stop smiling your conceited smile.
Deep inside you know I'm free.
Cross that fine line to my true heart.
Then throw it back at me.
You should have seen that I was creeping.

Strip me away to dry tears.
Make me feel really bad.
Drink into oblivion to take away the mad.
Forget that its not only my problem.
You should have seen that I was drowning.

Scream your cries to my heart.
The deafening tones I can't hear.
You've blinded me to mercy.
You've shown me to have no fear.
You should have seen that I was slipping.

Tender words not spoken shutter to my bones.
Thrifty little sayings reach to my deaf tones.
Power is your lover, never was it me.
Careful movements closer, don't bring you close to me.
You should have seen that I was screaming.

When you said you loved me'¦.
I should have known that I was dreaming'¦..
