Why is it that when you refuse to go to a doctor, everyone tells you that you need to....but, when you actually do go and they don't give you any helpful information, those same people roll their eyes at you? I have had a sore throat for five days now, it hurts to swallow and everything, my throat is swollen and painful. I have been refusing to go to a doctor because I dont have insurance or a lot of money and I thought I would just get over it. My boss and friends have been on my case all week about going to a doctor and how I'll never get better if I don't go. So, today, I woke up, still unable to properly swallow or speak and I decided to go get myself checked out. An hour at the ER ended with the doctor informing me that I have a sore throat. As if this is news to me! I spoke with my manager and let her know what the doctor said, what meds they put me on, etc and she just rolled her eyes and said that she figured that was all it was. If you knew there was nothing really wrong that could kill me, why insist that I go to the doctor? AAAHHH!!! Anyways, I know this little rant has nothing important to do with my writing career dreams, but I had to say something anyway. Thanks for listening.
