Not Fooling Me

"The bigger the lie
the more people will believe it"
And yes, I quoted Hitler.
So scary to think about that I'm thinking about
giving up thinking
And I think... you get the picture

Its not fair that because you
are deemed official
I am deemed yours.
And you concoct
the poison of our future
behind oval office doors

So proud to have a leader
whose expertise
Is to
-hide behind-
And you can latch your
puppet strings
on my American shoulders
but there are no hooks
for those in my mind.

YES! YES! YES! I loved it! Absolutely beautiful and violent and rebellious. If I didnt suck at poetry, this is something I could see myself writing. Its so heavy but you dont shove it down our throats. This was amazing.

i really appreciate the fact that your poems are rather minimalist. you don't feel the need to rattle on for very long before your point is sort of shotgunned out. love the subject matter and how you approach it. there isn't any particular part i want to linger on because it is all so good. i have a poem uploaded about the same subject, but i think it comes off rather whiny now in comparison to yours. so thanks. :-P

good job.

Brilliant. Political. Stong. Nice imagery. Well done. I look forward to reading more.
