Hey Lady! Leggo My Eggo! (Revised)

A really good friend of mine digs my analogies...here's my latest and greatest. You're gonna want a side of bacon with this one...

Try putting all your eggs in someone's basket. Then let them put all their eggs into your basket. That's right; Insecurity and Co-dependancy at it's finest!

I don't trust myself to take care of my own eggs, so why don't you take care of mine for me. You will? Oh,That's Great!...Oh...Okay...no problem. You don't trust yourself with your eggs either? Well that's okay, I'll just take care of your eggs for you. That sounds perfect. Now I'm reponsible for your eggs and you're responsible for mine.

We are soooo good to each other. I love your eggs. They are soooo much prettier than mine. Oh you like mine too. Well, thank you for the compliment. I am so glad we are taking such good care of one another's precious eggs.

Aren't You?

(3 years go by)...

What do you mean? You dropped MY EGGS! you mean they're broken? You suck! It's all your fault. I can't belieive you were so careless with MY Eggs! Here! Take yours back then. What do you mean they're not all there? Count them again! Well, so...I barrowed a few...I needed some. Well that's your fault! You shouldn't have given them all to me in the first place.

The Nerve!

I don't know why you're so upset! You just have a few missing eggs. I'm the eggless one...You broke all mine. How could you! You suck! I hate you! I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore! You are totally to blame!

Total Eggheads!

"Hello?"..."Hey, Kettle!"..."Pot called!"..."something about Black."

I am striving today to take care of my own eggs. You know trust myself. Take care of myself. Look out for myself. Protect Myself. Maybe even comfort and keep myself safe and secure. Wow! What a concept. I wish I would have thought of this one a long time ago. But then, I wouldn't have anyone to blame for my mistakes. Or maybe, just maybe...I shouldn't have put all my eggs in one basket and handed them over to someone that dosen't trust themselves with their own basket in the first place. Guess I better start seeing my part and holding on to my own basket from now on.

Yeah Baby! That's a great plan. Think I'll just have to trust myself on this one. That's a great starting point. Trust Myself.

I still wanna have a equal partner one day. One day...in a land far far away... I might have an openning line like, "Hey Lady", what's in the basket? I'll just wanna take a peek. If she askes me told hold it, I'll just say, "No thanks, just curious to know what you got in your basket." You know, the old "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours." routine. At the end of the day, I'll just remember to hold my own basket at all times. And always give the nice Lady her basket back too.

Don't be surprised though, You just never know where somebody's eggs have been. If you plan to share there's always the possibilty of scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs even rotten eggs!...If you're lucky though you just might get them the way you like 'em ~sunny side up:)or even better...Over Easy.

Just try not to end up with egg on your face...That's not very attractive. It is however washable.

Take Good Care of Yourself. Inside and Out...and see what happens:) You just might become the person that you want to fall in love with. Have faith and remember that "like attracts like". Wouldn't you like to be with someone who truly loves themself? Someone just as wonderful as you are?
