sadness reigns

SADNESS REIGNS

Sadness reigns
as shots rang out
students were killed
in the morning's still

for reasons unknown
one lone man
aimed and shot-
fellow students?...damn!

no cause to find
the reasons for this
memories of the fallen
will always be missed!

tears are shed
as sadness reigns
life goes on
but, the pain remains

let us, one and all
stop to remember
those who died
this one dreadful day!

Can relate to this piece, had some relatives at the school who thankfully were not harmed. Keep up the good work.
