DAYS OF SUMMER CREAM
The sunshine glints between the trees,
The rivers run with summer's essence,
Joys of laughter echo in the forest,
And the heady days of summer join our lives.
I saw the lady standing all alone,
I saw the sadness upon her face,
And yet the days of gorgeous memories,
Echo within our mind,
I've seen the cream of summer
Drench our coming days,
I've seen the lady cry in laughter,
And watched the day slowly wane,
And yea walk in fields of gold,
The corn wavers in the breeze,
The shadow of the tree drifts across the land,
I've seen the lady walk in summers dream,
Let the tears drift away,
Let the memories pass, begone,
Take my hand and dance in the summer fields,
Dance before the land,
Feel the warmth of love upon your skin,
Feel the laughter of Mother Nature,
And feel the joys of summer's days,
Come to pass once again,
For the nights fire burns bright,
Shadows dance between the trees,
The moonlight falls across the forest,
And love will come your way once again,
I have seen a tree stand within the meadow,
I have seen its budding leaves shine with life,
I have seen the warming love,
And I have seen walking change,
And while you have lost,
The tears you shed are sad,
I look into the future,
And see the sun shining once again.
