Ordered To Dismay

Ordered To Dismay

Cries of the past have resurfaced
Consumed with extinguished fire
Blistered by passions of the heart
Screaming unknown accusations
Demanding disclosure of the lungs

Searching for terminal suffocation
Falling into internal condemnation
Deteriorating obscured determination
Carried by unacquainted damnation
Yet faintly remembering eternal salvation

Voices then whisper upon deaf ears
Sending Wings Of Impalement to deliver
Hopeful security in the presence of Life
Painting engraved strength through The Blood
That devours fear by Consecrated Hands

So that years traveled with apathetic decay
Are no match against an Agile Angelic Array
Of Summoned Warriors to conquer and dismay
Every ounce of opposition; ordered to portray
The power that emerges when you simply pray

I like it. Your rhyming is good and I like the way you made only two stanzas rhyme. I also love your title. It's very creative.

Great write, but I thought too much rhyme in the second and last paragraph. Also, the title puzzles me. I'm trying to think of the word I'd use instead of dismay.

This is beautiful. Largely on merit of the second stanza, your wordplay is excellent. Thanks for the read!
