invasion

captain's log
11.11-300407

we have been
taken over--
distress calls
intercepted

this being
finds purpose in
our happiness
power from our joy
delights in taking
away pain

in this place
of nothingness
we have found
everything

this
is all there is

a rescue team
being rescued

across eons
of time
ions particles
our cry heard

we are inhabited
enveloped
resistance is
futile

we surrender
to it
utterly
in this ecstasy
and
ultimate torture

love

It would be just like us to not even be aware of the fact that we were in need of rescuing. So arrogant are we. Cool take on things.

you know what i think, trace? i think this can as easily be decoded as a person drifting in a no-good relationship and finding love over the net/radio/telephone even, but most importantly through the immediacy and intimacy the internet provides at the drop of a switch. the rescuer both empowers the driftee, while, at the same time gaining power from the situation in the form of shared delight. scary, and ecstatic at the same time. i love this write!
