Silence and Spoken

With cardboard signs propped
By our sojourners called
To their purposes

Mr. Church Organ Man
Plays melodies with the
Electric beat-box vibing
In the backdrop

Walking and walking and
Steady walking with
Glances to signs that
Read

SAVED BY GRACE ~ NOT BY WORKS

So perhaps that justifies them~
Modern-day John the Baptists,
My heroes are
Clothed in rags
Preaching the Truth

But don't manipulate it. Don't
Let hate for the evils of
Mankind
Distort

The Grace

Not by them, not by us, choose
The Calling
As perfected in Truth

And not fireworks
