The Hurting

Why O why do people hurt so much?
Day after day, month after month,
I see nothing but hurting people.

God how can us humans hurt
One another so bad that it makes
People go out and commit suicide?

How can our sin be so innocent?
And yet cause someone to die?
Is it so true that we really have power?

Is that saying, 'The tongue has
The power of life and death' so true?
Lord rise up these hurting vessels

So many turn to other things yet
Very few turn to you, Lord, do not
Curse them for that, but have mercy.

For they are the hurting and
Broken spirited and need you.
I am one of them that need you.

I believe you will rise up a great generation
For this is the generation of the hurting
But you will change that into
The generation for Jesus.

WOW! You captured so much feeling, depth, and passion in just a few line. I was nodding my head in agreement all the way through.

"the tongue has the power of life and death"....I believe this, words can hurt and words can heal. Dosent healing lead to life and hurt to death? There is more power in words than ANYTHING else. You may ask, "more powerful than God?" The bible says "The word is God and God is the word"

Good emotion--It sounds like a personal expression so I'm afraid my comments would make it something it's not. Well written
