29 Forever

Online dating's quite a trick

Shoppin' histories with just a click

Checkin' out each well-placed face

'Til you tease me and I ask, "Got a pic?"

A smorgasborg of every race

Awaits eager eyes in the hunt for grace

Too tall, too short, too fat, too thin

On to the next with quickened pace.

So much to sort, where to begin?

Opening lines, "So where you been?"

Too lame, too smart, too right, too wrong

such tripe would try a Buddhist's zen.

A world of info to be had for a song

Tho don't question clarity of those among

The most viewed few who quote Jong

and fly through cyberspace forever young.

Great title. I know a bunch of people who are "permanently 29," at least in their own minds. Also enjoyed the "Buddhist's zen" line.

A nicely presented observation of a sign of the times.

I agree...very entertaining. Big city dating isn't exactly easy, is it? But you gotta love technology. My favorite line is "such tripe would try a Buddhist's zen." Thanks for sharing.
