Forbidden Curiosity, lusting in carnage
We cannot escape curiosity
Not immune to the curse of boredom
Forbidden knowledge we so seek
Concupiscence of the flesh as we lust in carnage
Continuously feeding from empty longing and curiosity
with the lust of the eyes
and the self-confessed sinner
Basking in carnal pleasure
feeding both our glory and our shame
along with love and passion
The ancient law departs
and all its terrors cease a covenant of peace
For all the blessings of the light
heaven is what I cannot reach
the interdicted ground
Beloved,
save me from the idolatry which would crush us both
The mind that analyzes itself instead of repenting
While the concupiscence of the flesh continues to seek
yet another forbidden fruit.

I think save me from consumption, being consumed and all that you said above, Knight...lol
Seriously, though, I mean it to have the angle that fits the reader, as well as what it meant to me when I wrote it, or as my muse wrote it. lol |

Another beautiful poem with a strange mix of awesome love for carnal things and asking
"Beloved,
save me from the idolatry."
So what do you mean by SAVING? To give you a break with carnal love?
Or do you mean it is only curiosity and sin, so let us do it lawfully, legally, in full obedience to the rule of thumb?

| Thanks you all, for the feedback on this poem. This is one of those poems I made a list of words I liked and it took on a life of its own. |
