Kitchen Music
saffron powder the laden strands
dye your hands
the richness of colour without taste'¦
we streak our bodies
on the sunlight
this dancing patch'¦
we find cinnamon for our mouths
burn our tongues with jabaƱeros
leaf, through epidermal lines'¦
and lick, and lick, and lick,
the wounds of the bound flesh
at the base of your wrist'¦
besitos on an accordion stick

| Such great poetic devices, and the idea of cooking, or at least, kitchen spices and foods, is really interesting when tied with romance. This seemed really sensual to me, and I loved it. |

| Hmm. Interesting piece. I am not quite understanding the meaning, personally. But I'm leaning towards liking it for some mysterious reason that lies beyond conscious thought. I like the essence. |
