Lime Juice Instead of...
I'm standing here on the edge, looking back on what we shared,
so many priceless moments, stuck there, back in time,
Warm embraces, hearfelt sentiments, wondering if you ever really cared,
I was expecting lemons, but you gave me a lime...
So broke out the tequila, and gave shots out all around,
they thought I'd gone crazy, only the red nose was missing from this clown,
seeing my pain & bound by our friendship, they uttered not even a sound,
for they new if I stopped, without you I would drown...
Yet, I put it all behind me, and came a million miles away,
gripping you so tightly, but I couldn't make you stay,
here comes the sun it's rising on a brand new day,
and life is being served, right on my breakfast tray...
I never wanted it to end, but I had to try...
Now all that's left is a sad GOODBYE!!!
