Throwing away.
Throwing away.
Liquid eyeliner, red lipstick, foundation
Just one more night
Just one more mask to hide behind.
Throwing their lives away.
No lies behind the words spoken
But no truth behind the words left un-spoken.
Gradually throwing their lives away.
The make up will come off,
The mask will sink slowly down the drain
She will sit watching it once again
Knowing she is gradually throwing her life away.
She doesn't want this life any longer.
Sitting at her window watching them pass.
Hoping wishing one of them were hers.
Knowing one day she will have to stop throwing her life away.
She wont expect it but he will come
He will sweep her off her feet
No more mask
No more un-spoken words.
She will feel what she has wanted for so long.
On that day she will know,
She will know she has stopped throwing away her life.
