Memories
The day fades quick,
And it starts to pour,
As tears roll down my face,
Watching out the window,
As a young girl and her father hurry to get out of the rain,
Wishing you were here,
Wanting to see you again,
I sink down in my chair,
Reminiscing about the great times we had,
In the short time that you were here,
I miss your smile, your gentle touch,
And your quick kiss goodnight,
The warmth of your hugs as you held me tight, reassuring everything would be alright,
And the day fades quick,
As it starts to pour,
Missing you father, for forever more!
