Memorandum
A multitude of ephemeral memories
A tapestry of utter perfection.
I had been put on a pedestal
Lingering idly chagrined by humanity
You took me down
Carefully tending to my wounds
No longer a lone soul
Your salvation took it's toll.
You meander to a different drummer
We are to meet in the sweet by and by
Soon, I shall seek your aid again.
The void among us has nearly diminished
I shall confess, I am not familiar with you.
But, my admiration does not run low
Separation will not live long
I shall meet you in the incarceration I call Home.
Notes:
-Another one of those birthday poem/story things. I swear if I weren't so deathly afraid of balloons, I'd get some >.<
-So this is for my boyfriend's friend. We were at a barbecue and it was all his friends so she kinda stood around me and stuff. We didn't really talk, but it was nice to have her half company :]

hmm.. I think this is my favorite of yours yet :]. You've painted quite a graceful picture, with soft wordings and gentle endearments.
Only suggestion- it's a tad obvious that you tried to enhance your vocab; many writers are guilty of such, and it's absolutely fine as long as you don't overdo it. The overabundance leaves an air of strained effort. Overkill? Gee I'm horrible with explanations. Anyway. Nice job. |
