saturday.

with the windows rolled down

the gravel dust sits gritty in my ears

and whispers to me

words only interpreted with the aid

of cheap beer and

the blue collar delta blues

of a clearwater revival

This was taken from my own memories. Reading this made me ache for those olden times as well as smile that they are gone. Once again you turn my emotions with your words. Very Good stuff here. VERY good.

Very aural poem. You've made me hear the landscape beyond the confines of the car. Excellent imagery and really evocative of two regions. Missouri to Kentucky in 7 lines.
