Sickle in the Sky

Let the edge of the crescent moon
Cut deep into my heart
Let the tears of your pain
Become tears of my own
Let me ride your winged spirit
Let me fly with you far
Let me just hold your hand
Let me
just hold your gaze

And let the edge of the moon
Take what is left

Excellent suggestions, Mitra, I agree with both. Thank you! (I'll edit it right now, actually!)

Love the title! Don't think I've read a similar description of the moon.

Small notes :
Let me just hold your gaze - maybe pause after "let me" and just hold your gaze moved to the next line.
Simply because the previous line had the same pattern, changing this one a bit will not make the reader just dismiss it as a similar idea from the earlier sentence.

"Take what is left" - you could do without the last two words.

Just suggestions ;)
