End of the Line

Love assumed a menacing pose
branded then split from clothes
hell hath no fury like.. this silence

a thousand masked thieves
came and went as I breathed in
and doubt crystallized in your lungs
keeping your shout to just an idea.
little mystery
gripping tight your ticket to history
spin around and again
oh miss misery, truncate your possibilities
indecision will come now.. with ease

I promise I'll visit your grave
wipe off the leaves...
"She swallowed your disease." it reads
bend both knees, no need to weep
an arm full of roses protect sides.. head, feet
Children with courage will learn from a distance
about the unsent gift
that came for neither birthday nor christmas

god there's like a beautiful darkness here. hey would you mind explaining your usage of double periods? pleeeease? i just want to understand better. i love how some of this breaks out...particularly 'little mystery'. i also liek 'ticket to history'.

The last stanza is haunting. "Children with courage will learn from a distance about the unsent gift" Chilling. Encouraging, yet filled with so much sorrow. Though, I sence strength in your words. Powerful.

I really like this stanza. A perfect begining, it kept me reading.

I like the development of this poem. There were enough good lines in each stanza to keep me wanting to read it. Sorry if that sounded weird, but usually I get bored of poems quickly.

The last stanza is my favorite.
