Homework

I couldn't bring my homework
Madam, you see, it's like this

Last night as I sat at my desk
Working diligently on your assignment
It began to have
A mind of its own

It sprouted legs and arms
And began to dance around
When our dog came in
And started barking at it

Well that really set it off
Words contorted to form
A monstrous mouth with
Jagged teeth and
A wiggling tongue

It hopped off the desk
And started to chase the dog

On and on
And around in circles
They went tearing
Through the house
And back to my room

When all of a sudden
The dog disappeared
And the book let out
A loud belch!

So you see, Madam
I just couldn't bring it
What if my homework
Tried to eat me?

Hehe. Well I didn't actually lose my dog, but yeah. I think it still needs a little tweaking though

This is so cool! Except for the loss of your dog... I'm sorry. I really like the reverse excuse idea. Excellent story in poem form!
