In Defiance of Medical Opinion

The sun goddess stretches,
Lazily preening.
Heat radiation
Bakes her golden skin
Like roast chicken.
She strolls along
The prom,
So certain that everyone
Admires the beauty
That is her summer body.

Thanks for the feedback. I think you're right about the chicken line. Perhaps "Almost oven crisp." might be better.

i like it. not sure about the "like roast chicken" line. Particularly like the line "lazily preening." short and sweet. its good how you say so certain, making the reader rethink and question.
