Chapter 6

They pulled up in front of the high school at 7: 56 and sat there waiting for some kind of sign, that they were late, on time, as they sat in the back of Ana's truck.

"What are we waiting for? I mean it's not like Brendan's just going to pop out of nowhere, he does have legs, and now'�I'm pretty sure he's got a car." Said Ana, as she sat on the tail gate swinging her legs, back and forth like a child.

"I know but he said 8: 00, and it's now 7: 57, so we're like 3 minute's early, just chill." He said as he reached, into the truck and turned on the radio.

"I love this song," Ac/Dc was blaring out of her radio, 'Hells Bells'.

"Cool, maybe it'll side track you," he said as she looked just behind her and saw, a pair of head lights coming around the corner.

"Think it's him?" she said as she hopped off the truck.

"Could be, it's 7: 58'�" he said as he check his watch again, and then looked up to see a yellow cab, pulling into the school parking lot.
They both looked at each other as they noticed no one was in the back, and the service light wasn't on. He wouldn't'�.
"Brendan?" said Ana as he pulled up and got out. He smiled wide as he lend up against the car.

"Like our unnoticeable ride to the airport?" he asked smiling wide.

"Yeah" they both said quickly and loud as they hoped in and yelled, "WHERE TOO?"

"Okay, calm down, I don't want to baby-sit. And if you two didn't notice, I already SAID." He pointed out, as he shook his head, and realized, that they did it. They did the first step in becoming what their densities were'�and they seceded. This just might work.

"Quit touching me'�" said Ana as she started getting annoyed with Xander.

"I'm not'�oh wait'�YES I AM!" he smiled as Brendan sharply turned a corner right then and threw him on top of her.

"QUIT!!!! Brendan'�you guys'�this isn't cool'�QUIT TOUCHING ME!" she said as she curled up in a ball, and the lights in the car went out completely went out'�"I said stop SO STOP!" she said'�as she looked at him.

"Just turn right, here," he said to Brendan, as he ignored his sister, "I wasn't'�now can you calm down so I don't have to be the freaking navigator?" He said as he sat up against the door opposite her.

"Yeah, okay," she said as she calm down and sat normal, and then the lights came back on.

"Thanks, now I can drive." Said Brendan as he turned into the airport, as they both sat there and made face's to one another, Xander would stick his tongue out a Ana, then she make some kind of retarded monkey face, he'd laugh and then make some kind of blow fish looking face, Ana would laugh then make some kind of twitchy eye retard'�and monkey thing? I don't know how to explain it'�weird.

When they all got past to go to the very back on the run way, they got out, and somebody randomly came up and got into the cab and pulled out. Xander and Ana looked at him, as they walked out on the landing. Were they saw the small airplane, with some kind of code on tail, but it looked more like writing.

"Is that Korean?" asked Xander as he looked at the plane.

"Yes it is," as hey waked towards the plane, they start to work their way on to the plane. They got on to a small cabin four seated plane, as Xander and Ana, were about to fly away from everything that they knew.

The next thing they knew they Xander woke up in a light filled room, as he realized that he was lying down on a futon, he turned his head slightly, as he looked out the window, and heard chanting in the wind, ' ohhhh naaaaa, bay say, ay oh,' he turned slightly over again as he heard what sounded like his sister, 'Xander? Xander! Where are you?' She said freaked out. "I'm right here, where are you?" he said to himself as he looked around.

"Ana, where_" he slowly got up from his futon, and realized he was the only one in his room, he was hearing her thoughts? WHAT?!!!!!!

'I'm here,' she said as she slowly started to clam down. "Where," he asked, as he thought about it, 'You can't see me?' she said curious. '�No, describe the room you're in," he said as she was quiet, 'I can't tell, it's too dark, but I think I hear chanting from a window or something'�' she said as she went really quiet. "Hold on." he got up and changed in to his sweats, out of his pants. As he ran to the door, and saw that the hall, was really dark, he closed his door, and noticed his night vision turned on, "Do me a favor, put something under your door, or say something that way I can hear or see, you. I'm out in the hall," he said out loud like some kind of lunatic. 'Okay, look for my bracelet, it's glowing for some reason, you'll find it easily, but it's going to be a sec I have to find the door'�' she said as she went quiet looking for the door.

Then a couple seconds later, there was a [THUD!] and a gold shining object appeared down the hall, he ran to the door, and knocked on it quietly, "Ana, is that you? Are you okay?" he said with a slight whisper.

"Owe, yeah open the door, I'm alone'�but kind of freaked out'�" she said as he reached up to open the door, and it opened on its own.

"Whoa, I didn't open it, it opened by itself'�do you want to go to my room?" he said pointing down the hall, as she looked and saw a light under the door.

"Yeah, why did I get the dark room?" she asked slightly upset.

"I was probably supposed to find you, but I was dreaming something really weird," he said as they walked down the hall hand in hand, and then when the door opened they opened it to see Brendan, and a woman in her mid-to-late thirties. "Hey Brendan, I suppose your Lola, or I mean, our mom," said Xander as Ana came up beside him, and looked at her wide eyed.

"Yes we need to have a conversation," she said as she looked at the corner and a table and two chairs appear. "Sit please." They both sat down as Xander handed Ana her amulet, and she put it on.

"I've noticed, that Aleana is now going by Anastasia'�and I'm glad, but we've got a slight problem'�you two still need to be trained, and me and Brendan are going to help you with both of your training'�we'll be training you here'�right where we're at. This is a monastery the monks here know about who you two are, and are very pleased you have chosen to stay here to train. The reason both your amulets are glowing is for this reason." She held out her hand as both their amulets floated off their chests and in the air, then broke off of their chains, and came together, green, yellow, blue, gold, crimson, and white light all came pouring into the room, as their destinies were being told to them by their amulets'�"The red, signifies fire, the green signifies earth, blue is water, white is the wind, and you know what the blue and yellow-gold stands for'�" She explained as their powers were flashing before them.

Fire, water, air, and earth were all going to be in their control, and they could mainly control the sun and the moon. But the coolest thing of all, they could combine their powers'�and make different things'�"So you're saying you're going to train us to do that?" Xander asked as he sat forward, in total awe of what he saw.

"You already have the powers, Xander, but you just have never had to use them fully, I'm sure you've moved something without meaning to, or caught something on fire, just by thinking about it, and Ana, you probably have spilled water into someone's lap'�" They both sat up and coughed at the same time, then they looked at each other quickly and thought to each other, 'yeah' but then they looked at her again, and she smiled.

"Your using your 'twin talk' aren't you?" she said as she chuckled. As they looked at her funny and then looked at Brendan, as he just continued to act like he didn't see their gaze.

"What do you mean our "twin talk"?" asked Ana as she sat upright once more.

"Twins normally have this weird way of communication with each other, but since you two have powers, I thought you two might get 'advanced' twin talk, and have it some how changed to telepathy'�was I right?" She asked as they sat there, in shock.

"I think so'�because that's how I got Ana out of the room, was by hearing you talk, or think'�and then I spoke back to you..." Ana looked at him, as she started to speak, "I was talking, we were having a conversation, but since we were in two separate rooms, I'm guessing that it turned into 'telepathy' or a form of it, am I right?" she asked them to see if her assumption was right.

"Yep, and you both might want to get used to it, because you'll have to be, when you both have the same thought at the same time, it's rather confusing." She said, as she sat down cross-legged and then she started to float just about an inch above the ground.

"I think it only works when were not near each other, like I said before in two separate areas, because before we didn't even think about having twin speak'�so now we can try it'�but," Xander went quiet, as he heard her thinking, ' I doubt it's going to work, because even if it does we'll end up arguing over who to listen to who,' she had a point'�

"I've got a question, when are we going to start our training?" asked Xander as he watched their mother levitate before them.

"Soon, but first I need to explain to you, why I did what I did, Ana, I recall that you had asked Brendan, why I separated you two am I right?" she asked as she landed slowly back on the ground.

"Yeah, but I don't think you need to answer it anymore, its okay," reassured Ana as she watched her open her hazel eyes.

"I need to both of you have the same question, and I was expecting it anyway," she said as a third chair showed up out of thin air, "the day that you two were born, was the day, that the one we all call Ambassador Albany, had tried to kill me, just minutes be fore I had you, he knew I was caring the future, and he was scared of being stopped'�you two are key in what we call 'Hoganstan'. Hoganstan is where people with powers like ours are sent, the Ambassador has completely destroyed the whole reason for Hoganstan. And it is there no more, so now I intercept the 'students' and send them to places like these'�to learn and train'�" Anastasia and Xander looked at her, in total shock.

"So hold on, Hoganstan is a school or a training facility?" asked Xander, making sure he got everything correct so far.

"Both, the children can go there to learn and sleep, as well as train, and know how to control their powers'�but now the Ambassador is using to school to weed you two out'�and it hasn't worked, but might when you two come into your powers," she said as she got to her feet.

"So, what are you called exactly? I mean we know what we're called ' Avaters' but there's go to be a name for the people who have piers like us, and are like you and Brendan," said Ana as she started to fiddle with her necklace.

"we're what you call'�Protégées , we all descend from someone in our family, and we believe we were chosen for a reason, like I was chosen to have you both'�so you could save our Protégés," she explained as she turned and stretched.

"Why are we so rare, I mean'�there has to be certain children who have abilities like ours'�" said Xander as he sat there, and looked at Brendan.

"Every few million years, there is a new Avater that is born, and helps the 'descenders' through what ever they need, and then they carry their duty to finding out how to bring a new Avater in to the world, Your father's -brother's-Cousin's-sister was an Aveater, and she'�gave birth to the next set of what she thought to be 'Avater triplets' until, I had you the way she was born, and when I was carrying you, I didn't have any complications, nor did I have any worries'�except when they attacked me'�but both of you did a heck of a job protecting me, after that they followed me to where I had you at, and I had given you two to Brendan, he gave you both to a very nice couple, and you both had separate notes on you'�from there, it was all there own choice'�" Lola explained, as Xander got up and went over to the window.

"So what you're saying is we're only the 'Avaters' until we're done with our job?" asked Xander as he sat there, and just stared out in the day light.

"Yes and no, depending on how bad this gets, if you both can't handle your own the older Aveaters will help you with your training as well, and a couple of them are here." she said as she walked over and pointed to a few people in the court yard, "and it also depends on if all of the problems, are taken care. There are only certain things that you both as Aveaters can do, without you we as a people would be lost, so once you're done with your job don't be hasty in getting rid of your power, you might need them later."

Xander looked at the people as then turned his back on the window, as he thought to his sister, ' I don't know about you but I need to think this is a lot to take in'�' she scratched her head to make it look less conspicuous, ' I agree let's just tell them that,'.

"Mom, I think me and Xander need to think on this, can you give us some time before we can tell you, or say anything?" requested Ana quietly, as Lola and Brendan nodded and left the room.

They both sat there, as they realized everything was going to start to come in to focus after a while, they just needed that time.
