Thanks Uriah. I named the character Diogenes in reference, of course, to the stoic who according to legend (or rumour), forsook all the goodies of life and lived in a barrel. The Hathaway is a pun, hath a way, but maybe a slight nudge in the direction of Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare's wife, might also be there - so little is known of her. Maybe it's the near shortest poem ever, but a bit of a cheat as so much of it is in the title.

| ok, you got me. no, I really get it. unpredictable, and stinging. Don't know Hathaway but now I am curious. This might serve to be an effective pedagogical piece if one is savy with google or wikipedia. |
