Whiskey

Whiskey and cola, that's the drink tonight. Black soda, black fizzing liquid, it's disgusting when you think about it. I drink it by the pint (at least until I feel the onset of rot-gut then I have to drink a glass of water and if I'm still in the mood for it I drink the whiskey strait). It really is the antithesis of water, but I love it, it soothes me almost as much as it scares me. Whiskey is a weird handle; it's so common that I think it gets under-rated at times. I've had more fucked up experiences on bourbon whiskey than on tequila yet the cactus juice has this wild reputation like it'll take you to the edge. Well I've been to the edge and beyond more than a few times with good ol' Bourbon whiskey. It's a great drink to get wild on but also put to its' more appropriate use, it's the perfect drink to drown one's sorrows in with or without the cola. Bourbon is certainly better without the cola when your mood is as bitter and unrelenting as its taste. Odd is that feeling of knowing that something that you pour into your body at sometimes an alarming rate is destroying you from the inside out but I think that is also part of its' charm, the idea of letting this awful brown liquid destroy you before your thoughts and emotions do.

Whiskey has a special place in my heart, and this mini-ode to it is great. The ending is incredible, and, at times, very true. Many a strange times I've had with the brown liquor, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Very nice piece. Best of luck to you!

Whiskey is everything you say it is. Have you ever experimented with Jagermeister?
