Head a poundin'
Mind a racin'
Body a achin'
Soul a screamin'
A soul so lost and alone
A heart broken
Askin' to be mended
Searchin' for freedom from this prison
Married but single
In love but never loved
Years wasted with lies
Memories of good times shared
Creep in like a stranger in the night
Bad times turn on the flashing lights
Danger screams forth
A soul runnin' from the past
Too many things done wrong
Pain that can't be let go
A heart left yearnin' for more
Beggin' to be loved
A soul leapin' for joy
Awaitin' the tide of the future
A time to do things right
A time to love and be loved
A flood of hope comes rushin' in
Springin' forth happiness
With a smile and a tear
The past is in the past
The future is near
