TOMORROW'S DESTINY?

Ya tell me the skies are now bleedn'
Ya tell me the river's run dry,
Ya tell me the snow caps now cry 'pon this earth
No longer they rest upon high.
Ya tell me the ocean's exhausted
We pillage her treasures below
We plunder the bounty embraced by her soul
And leave it to others to sow.

Where will we find our tomorrow
Where will we find a new dawn,
Where will our dreams, drift too each night
When all of the stars are now gone?
Again will we sit in the moonlight
And whisper of love evermore,
Or are our tomorrows just destined to be;
Driftwood, washed 'pon the shore?

Ya tell me the forrests are dien'
Ya tell me the eagle has flown,
Ya tell me the creatures conceived in her womb
Their ashes, to the winds have now blown.
Ya tell me the heavens are fallin'
The hard rain is burnin' my mind,
Will our tomorrows be promised with dreams;
Or littered with the bones of mankind?

Where will we find our tomorrow
Where will we find a new dawn,
Where will our dreams, drift too each night
When all of the stars are now gone?
Again will we sit in the moonlight
And whisper of love evermore,
Or are our tomorrows just destined to be;
Driftwood, washed 'pon the shore?

Ya tell me the children are cryn'
Ya tell me they hide in the night,
Ya tell me they turn from the smile of the clown
Disguising his secret delight.
Ya tell me we keep on denyn'
Sip latte, puke trite platitudes,
If we wait for another, to turn on the light;
Our tomorrows, I'm afraid are all screwed.

Where will we find our tomorrow
Where will we find a new dawn,
Where will our dreams, drift too each night
When all of the stars are now gone?
Again will we sit in the moonlight
And whisper of love evermore,
Or are our tomorrows just destined to be;
Driftwood, washed 'pon the shore?

I didn't really like this piece as a whole Lance. It just seems too rambly and to go on too long.

I think the entire piece should just be comprised of that last paragraph there. Its brilliant and masterful, and particularly cool in and of itself and I think it works better without the long lead up to it.
