Writer's Meditation
Lone white candle flickering before me
Random shadows dancing upon the walls
Melting away the day's worries in peace
Sinking deeper into my soul within
Breath after breath, merging with the silence
Letting go and letting God, trusting Him
Pressing my mind's reset button, refreshed
Inspiration, clarity prevailing
Creativity no longer repressed
Love, light and hope surging from the temple;
That inner sanctuary in my heart
Mind is clear, new ideas assemble
On my mind's screen, characters play their part
Unfolding, manifesting writer's art

I really like this poem. It gave me a peaceful feeling and its relatable. Alot of my writing happened right after meditatation.. or in most cases, once I 'let go' and hit a certain state, I had to get up from the meditation to write down the realizations that were coming to me from that state. Nice job capturing the experience.

I always wondered if all writers had that "screen". I know I do. I have dreams about that blank page. Great effort!

I can see the candle and feel the experience..

I enjoyed this very much... do you meditate when writing... that is the feeling I get when I read this, and I like it. I've never been any good at it, but I'm sure it helps. Nice job capturing the tranquility, and madness, of writing!
