I-man transgression
global depression
monetary recession
demonic possession
wars raging
government degrading
the Almighty laws debating
the truth
the idea of freedom
for some
while others gain
theirs with gun
the fat cat'n system
always takes
its favorite dish
greed with a side conceit
brothers compete
for the same job
same women
same space
women fight
for their place
struggle against rape
and the hate
of their bodies
children starve
the street
commodity
sadism, racism
an education true
walkin around
with nothin to do
so sad
that they never knew
they were people too
went from cradle
to grave
cause no one gave
a shit about them
or our future
this is an
American romance
a systematic dance
with capitalism
1st world economy
where green and gold
reign supreme
the dream
that never comes true
when I look
around I see
the inevitable disgrace
of the human race
as it turns on itself
Offering no help
to the righteous
who reject, resist
the sins we commit
that insist and
empower change
knowing faith
must remain
if its gonna get better
this is my letter
to the powers
that be
asking
where is there
a place in your
world for me?
