Wide is the heiress' ballroom
I can't lock the doors of the castle
where everyone chooses his own place to stay.
The key is not mine and I can't forbid a thing.
I am on the throne, which many would die for,
But I rule absently and can't come to myself.
My strength is not enough to stretch
And gather the anger and chaos that rule my world.
I am weak and small,
raw kid swallowed by the waters of omniscience.
The roads around this castle are dusty,
Nobody walked them for years.
All of us walk the short paths,
insecure and narrow, steep and fake.
They lead us nowhere.
Only the last brave warrior
slowly walks the old good road,
And leaves his trace for the followers that come.
I watched him through the window.
I was afraid to go out and walk with him.
The prince noticed me,
But ruthlessly continued printing his footsteps
on the long journey to eternity.
I went out, but it was too late.
The man already passed by my castle,
Now I can only follow his track
which slowly fades in time.
I never stopped dreaming of us and my life beside him.
I left and there was no turning back,
I had to follow and find out where he was going.
In the room I left, remained the people,
All fighting for my former throne, my home,
All with different faces,
beautiful and ugly, young and old, good and evil.
I left everything to them.
I know the king won't let somebody take my place
if she didn't deserve.
Following my dream I arrived at the castle again,
And finally realized that the whole time
I was chasing a ghost
And my journey around the world was worthless.
I came where I left.
Back in the castle.
The windows were blurred, the yard dried and muddy.
The rooms were empty and the king alone.
My throne rested untouched, just as I left it.
A smile welcomed me.
The dear look on my beloved's face,
who I left for chasing the ghost in the darkness.
Oh, how wrong I was!
I wasted all the youth and freshness,
the whole castle aged and began to ruin.
Oh, how wide the heiress' ballroom looks now,
when I grew old and soon will be gone!?!
