today

i feel like a rainy day
thick, soft clouds gathering and joining others
equally grey
crisp breezes announcing a downfall
light and steady
gently moving clouds over
yellow and amber trees
waiting for the weight of the rain
to release the grip of the leaves
that will make a patchwork carpet of
the fallen
wind twirling in corners
dripping overhangings
puddles forming in every little dip
filling spaces i forgot were there
creating a deceitful version of a smooth surface
reflecting the drips and drops
of what the wind blew in

Made me feel like my favorite season, Autumn. Love it.

Wow! This is intense and powerful! "Filling spaces that I forgot were there." I loved this spiral. There are no wasted words at all, just shoots right at me. Excellent job.
