More than dreaming

she says, "your voice reminds me of roses and needles."

roses, beautiful
needles, seductive

with eyes closed she'll let his lips trace the curves of her body, sweet, simple
hands moving with intention, though not in the cruel way she's caved to in the past
in the place where bruises seemed to fit in, placed by kisses unwanted and unwelcome
she finds she most assuredly won't shy away from this touch, this embrace

she says, "your eyes remind me of the skies, limitless and full of wonder."

unwavering, captivating and secure, she watches him with eyes like diamonds
gleaming in the darkness, shining just for him, and she takes his hand, takes his smile
holds it with her kiss, just below his lips, steadfast and loving, gentle on his skin
with the morning sun keeping sorrow at bay, here, in this bed, this is more than dreaming

he says, "you're beautiful." placing his affections in the palms of her hands
and uncertain, she closes her fingers, holding tightly, though careful not to break
the beating, breathing, singing thing, and she smiles, "only because of you."

That was very meaningful, especially because of its simple form. There seemed to be a tinge of something painful, which only made the whole more poignant.

Ah yes, how often are adorations full of splendor for only that of the beholder. The opening posted signs of violation upon my imagination though relieved them when herself knew this was welcome and desired. It seems almost like witnessing a candid pleasure unfolding, words so carefully placed to unlock such daring and lovely visions of courting.
