BETRAYED

As I walk these halls of Heartache,
I find that they lead
Only to doors of Despair.
A place of Sorrow.
No echoes of Laughter
Or Dreams
Once shared.
No trace of your Love
That was once
Unconditional.
A place of Pain
That is lined with Loneliness
And paved with Regrets.
I slide down the wall,
Wet with my tears,
Lost and Alone.
I miss You.

I may be reading too much into it, but there seems to be a lot of turmoil in this one. Love, pain, 'I miss you.'

Beautiful, though.

To me this feels like the pain that almost becomes comfortable and can be described simply because it's become part of you. I enjoyed this :)

This yawns with openness... not easy to express oneself with such ease. Fraughtfully good Yvonne!

A place we have all been at one time or another. Very haunting work; you pour all of yourself into your writing, Yvonne, and it shows.

Wow, moving piece. I can feel the ache, and the hollow call at the end of "I miss You". I love the imagery: "I walk through these hall of Heartache". I enjoyed reading this, thanks.
